Country Oaks Campground began with a dream. In 1998, Lonnie Gay built this campground from the ground up with a vision of creating a peaceful place where travelers could relax beneath the shade of beautiful oak trees and enjoy the simple comforts of country life.
Through years of hard work, dedication, and a genuine love for people, that vision became the welcoming campground guests enjoy today.
In April 2026, Lonnie passed away, but his vision lives on. Today, Country Oaks remains
family-owned and operated by the next generation, who are committed to preserving the campground he worked so hard to build while continuing to welcome guests with the same warmth and hospitality that have defined Country Oaks since the beginning.
